Launching A New Faculty Career

February 5, 2016
If you're a typical graduate student or postdoc, you might think that being a new faculty member will be a extension of what you currently do, only with higher stakes. However, such thinking can be short-sighted because as a new faculty member, you'll also have to deal with a whole new set of issues like understanding the new school's culture, navigating departmental politics and surviving that mysterious time suck known as committee work.
At this workshop, panelists from a variety of different institutions (both in Minnesota and in other states) will talk about their experience as new faculty members and how to survive those early years. Register>
