Prof. Jerry Cohen, Gordon and Margaret Bailey Professor and Distinguished Graduate Teaching Professor, will be leading a workshop on the Grant Writing process for Postdocs. He will review the process of preparing, writing, and submitting funding proposals to various agencies. The workshop will include specific examples, interactive discussions, and the do's and do not's of grant writing. Prof. Jerry Cohen is a Professor in Horticultural Science and former Deputy Director of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences at NSF. He has mentored numerous postdoctral associates, fellows, and researchers both at the University of Minnesota and government centers.
This event will be a day-long catered workshop, composed of two 3 hour sessions separated by a lunch break in the nearby atrium of Rapson Hall, with food provided by the PDA.
